Susan Boyle Looses Britains Got TalentSusan Boyle has failed to win the final of Britain’s Got Talent, despite all the publicity that has surrounded her for the last 8 weeks. It was almost a dead certainty that the Scottish singer would win the ITV1 talent show, but she was sensationally beaten at the final hurdle, by brilliant dance act, Diversity.

The ten-member street dance group pulled off one of the biggest shocks in TV history. After the incredible result was announced, the group looked totally overwhelmed that they had beaten Susan Boyle, and fellow street dancers Flawless (who i thought were better on the night).

Diversity, who are made up of all family and friends who are aged between 12-25, amazed the audience and judges with a breathtaking ‘Transformers Medley’, choreographed by super-talented leader, Ashley Banjo, who is only 20-years-old. At one point a junior dancer appeared almost out of nowhere as Superman, drawing gasps from the audience.

Turning themselves into a giant robot, they had judges and the audience on their feet cheering wildly as they moved in time with a series of dazzling leaps, somersaults and break-dance moves.

diversityThey will now appear in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance later this year and share the prize of £100,000. Susan chose the same song from Les Miserables as she sang during her original audition.

She wore a sparkling, floor-length gown and won a standing ovation from the studio audience. Simon Cowell told her: “Win or lose, you had the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics and you beat them.”

Boyle now stands to make an estimated £8million fortune from a glittering singing career, having been plucked from obscurity just a few weeks ago. The other act to make the final three was Julian Smith. Prior to the show going out, it was revealed Susan has already been approached to appear in an episode of the hit American TV series Ugly Betty – broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK.

An insider said: “She had a good laugh when she heard – she was the first one to spoke the joke. But of course she would love to do it after the final. It’s a brilliant way of boosting her profile even further in America. It’s a small walk-on role – and she will be playing herself. Susan joked: ‘I might not be a stunner but I’m better looking than Betty!’

From the guy who runs this Simon Cowell Fansite, i wish you the best of luck Susan, but the right act won on the evening. A very well done to Diversity!!! Videos of both performances are coming shortly. To keep up with all the latest celebrity news and gossip, head over to our Twitter account.
