Cowell to Ditch American Idol for X Factor US

Cowell-to-Ditch-American-Idol-For-X-Factor-USSimon Cowell has said that he is going to quit a £25million pound a year salary with American Idol to start The X Factor in US.

Simon has said that he is going to leave American Idol when his contract is due to end in 2010. Being the executive producer and presenter he earns around £25million per year.

He has made hints before that he may leave American Idol which usually attracts 25 million viewers.

In a recent interview with a US TV magazine he stated that he will only be appearing on American Idol for one more year. He said “I’ve been on record for two or three years saying the end of the contract is probably when I will leave.” He added “The producers and I negotiated how long we wanted to spend with each other. We agreed on an absolutely sensible number and, if we wanted to add more years, we would have done it then.”

Simon Cowell also goes on to say, “I think nine seasons is a lot. I’ve had the best time ever in my life and then you have to consider doing something new or taking a break. Everyone thinks it’s a negotiation but I don’t negotiate like that. If I want more money, I’ll ask for it and if they don’t want to pay me then I’ll say no.”

It is reported that the ratings for the last series of American Idol were down by 12 per cent.

Industry insiders have said that they think Simon Cowell has had enough of the transatlantic commuting from his UK shows The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent to the Los Angeles Idol set.

Reports from Entertainment Weekly magazine, Cowell really wants to take The X Factor to the US. Simon’s current contract with Fox TV stops him from doing that but as soon as his contract has finished he is free to start to develop The X Factor for US TV.

Simon Cowell Has Ruined My Life!

Simon-Cowell-Has-Ruined-My-Life!Sue Son the violin sensation who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent last night claims that Simon Cowell has destroyed her greatest friendship.

Friends of Sue think that she may leave the show so that she can try and fix things with the friend that Simon made her dump.

Sue aged 24 from London first appeared on Britain’s Got Talent last night with her friend Janine as a classical music act called Addicted but they were sadly knocked back by the judges.

The judges following a discussion called Sue back and asked her to go solo, Sue agreed to this thinking that her flat mate Janine was backing her.

The two girl’s families are now left fighting after Sue sailed through her solo audition to join acts such as Susan Boyle and Hollie Steel for a chance to win leaving her friend behind shattering her dreams of fame and fortune.

Things between the two girls and their families have become so bad that there have been angry phone calls made during the night following the Birmingham auditions.

Sue explained “After that first audition Janine said that she would have done exactly the same thing as me, I thought everything was fine. Later she admitted that she was devastated. She did not want me to do the show.” Sue also said “I thought she would be a true friend and support me but she’s been ignoring my calls and has blocked me on Facebook.

The violinist has also said ” She even called my mum the other day in Korea at 3am, telling her that I’d betrayed her. I can’t believe she would do that, contacting my mum at three in the morning talking about how I’d betrayed her, it’s awful. Our friendship has been torn apart by Britain’s Got Talent!”

The two friends met each other at music college and have lived together for several years, they then went on to set up Addicted with Sue on the electric violin and Janine on the keyboard playing songs that Janine had composed.

The Britain’s Got Talent judges were not impressed by the duo with Simon Cowell calling them “Dreary and Indulgent” and Amanda Holden telling them they were out of sync. Sue agreed with what the judges said by saying, “Amanda was right, we were only playing for 30 seconds or so but we couldn’t even hear each other so I had no idea what she was playing, it didn’t help that the song wasn’t known. I want to make things work with Janine but don’t know if this is it for us.”

Sue also went on to say, “We went through a lot together over six years and I thought we were stronger than this show.”

Sue Son who is currently single admits that she has found it really difficult to make friends in the past due to her playing the violin and putting her musical talent first. She states “I started playing aged six and used any spare time I had to practice. It did mean that I had little time to socialise and that I ended up doing things with my parents when I was growing up instead of with friends.”
