She came, she tried her best but it still wasn’t enough. Susan Boyle had the full attention of the media worldwide, she has been in newspapers and on TV news channels EVERY single day for the last 7 weeks, none of the other acts got anywhere near as much attention, but all of that still wasn’t enough to secure Susan Boyle 1st place on Britains Got Talent 2009.

She lost out to street dance group Diversity, but it wasn’t for the want of trying. See Susan Boyles Final Performance Video below.

Diversity Wins Britains Got Talent

Chase the dream, not the competition.

That was their motto, and they did exactly that. Street dance group Diversity gave it all they had this evening, and come out on top, beating Susan Boyle to first place on Britain’s Got Talent. The super-good group have now secured a spot on the bill at The Royal Variety Performance, and have £100,00 in their back pocket.

They really deserved to win, and here is why.

Aidan Davis Semi Final Videos

Aidan Davis is a street dancer who entered Britain’s Got Talent. He won thumbs up from the judges and went through to the live Semi-Finals. On the night, he gave an outstanding performance, and won the public vote, putting him through to the Britains Got Talent live Final.

Hollie Steel Semi Final Videos

Hollie Steel broke down in tears midway through her Semi Final performance on Britain’s Got Talent, and begged for a second chance. At first she was refused, but when Simon Cowell Overruled BGT Producers, she was allowed to return at the end of the show.

Shaheen Jafargholi – Semi Finals Video

Singing schoolboy Shaheen Jafagholi who performed on last nights Britain’s Got Talent Semi Final was chosen to join other finalists like Susan Boyle, Stavros Flatley, Diversity & Flawless last night after an outstanding performance of “And I Am Telling You” from the musical Dreamgirls.

Although he didn’t win the public vote, he was saved by Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, whilst Simon Cowell chose the 25-strong dance group named MD Showgroup. So he got two votes to one meaning he goes through to the Britains Got Talent Final this Saturday.

Piers called the performance “breathtaking“. He added: “I think pound for pound that is the best singing performance we heard in the semi-final.“

Simon told him: “That is a really, really tough iconic song and I was incredibly nervous watching you, but it worked.” He added: “You are a real contender to win the competition.“

Bursting into tears after he’d been voted into the final, Shaheen, of Swansea, said: “It is so hard, because I have been great friends (with MD Showgroup) in the past week.“
