The 35-year-old supermodel is set to join forces with Simon Cowell and Sir Philip Green to form a global entertainment super- company to rival Disney. The multi-million-pound deal would see Miss Moss directing the style and image of the £1billion as yet unnamed brand, as well as giving fashion advice.

Experts say that, if based on a profit-share arrangement, it could see Miss Moss’s current fortune double to £100million. The Daily Mail revealed last week how Cowell and Sir Philip, who owns stores including Topshop and Bhs, have decided to pool their finances, resources and industry knowledge to create a worldwide business which straddles showbusiness and fashion.

The plan would see them own all the rights and content of the TV programmes Cowell produces, including Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor and America’s Got Talent. The idea is to take the hit shows to more countries and sell millions of pounds worth of merchandise on the back of their success.

Although the two men have been friends for more than a decade, they have only seriously discussed going into business together this year. Miss Moss is believed to have been invited to join the project because of her friendship with Sir Philip, who she calls ‘Uncle Phil’.

The pair have become so close in recent years that the tycoon regularly lends her his private jet so she can get to modelling jobs, and has given her a £30,000 diamond bracelet as a gift.

Two weeks ago, Miss Moss, who was pictured wearing a short black dress, black heels and a grey snakeskin clutch bag, met Cowell and Sir Philip to celebrate their venture at Sketch nightclub in Central London.

This week, friends of the model told the Mail about her new role.

One said: ‘Kate has been signed as a figurehead and style setter for the fashion end of the business. She will bring her expertise to the table, advising on all branding and style for clothes, hair and accessories.

‘She will also be involved in finding and signing new bands and promoting them. Something that has also been talked about is Kate developing her own singing career and starting a music label.

‘She has a big network of people they have no access to and they want her to make the new venture hip, and not so nerdy, and up-to-date.

‘In return Kate will net a big share of the profits. Her entire fortune would double within a year bringing her up to the £100million mark.

‘Philip knows Kate has been looking for a way out of modelling for the past five years. She is bored silly with her own career and has vastly increased his Topshop sales and image. He promised her that she would be a big share holder and partner when the deal was ready to roll.

‘She’s only confided in her closest friends because she still has outstanding contracts, and no one knows she met up with Simon and Green two weeks ago to sign and agree the final deal.’

Although Sir Philip has refused to comment on the plans, a source close to the businessman said: ‘They are good friends and have talked about it for weeks on end. They can both see the opportunity for a business that is successful in lots of different areas.’

Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh stopped off in Manchester for the latest leg of the X Factor auditions last week, which is where the damage occurred to Si’s pride & joy.

Although Simon and the gang were there to judge peoples singing abilities, it was the damage to Simon’s £400,000 Rolls Royce that set tongues wagging.

A good friend of the music mogul said: “He’s been in Manchester for a few days with the show, so he parked the car on the street overnight. He came down in the morning and it looked like someone had bashed into it and then driven off.“

I wouldn’t like to be the person who bashed Simon’s car if they are ever caught!!

Tony, the 20st slaphead minder has become quite the celebrity in his own right, after booting off rowdy and lippy contestants from the top TV talent show, but the minder has now been replaced with THREE other bodyguards, without any form of explaination.

The Londoner, who has also minded Simon Cowell on his other British talent show, Britain’s Got Talent said: “It feels like a slap in the face. I considered Simon to be a friend but he hasn’t even sent me a text, or asked one of his assistants to contact me to explain what’s happened. After six years together, i just got a phone call from the production team to say they were getting in a new security company.”

Tony continued: “They couldn’t even tell me to my face. I had to hear it on the phone. I feel well and truly shafted.“

Tony has claimed his TV exposure cost him his relationship with partner Michiela, the mother of his five children. They split up just before Christmas after 17 years together. He said: “She didn’t like the long hours i worked. Then i started getting a lot of attention from female fans, which she didn’t like.“

Tony fears his growing fame could have been his downfall, with bosses thinking he was getting a little too much attention. He said: “I was being asked for autographs and photos all the time. It was always the producers who wanted me on screen – as far as i was concerned i was just there to look after Simon. But i do wonder if that’s why they didn’t want me any more, even though it was them who made me the character.” He added: “I used to have a laugh with Simon and had got to know him well over the years. His family was lovely.“

“His brother Tony was even helping Michiela market a snoring aid she had invented. I thought we were all quite close.“

A spokesperson for The X Factor said: “Tony was employed by Talkback Thames and not Simon, as the judges’ guard. I explained to Tony personally that we needed to beef-up our security system for this series as the show is now much bigger. It was nothing against Tony, we just needed to make a change. We haven’t encouraged his on-screen persona but he has appeared in shots behind Simon over the last five years.“

So that’s it then, Tony is gone!!

He’s leaving to set up a billion-pound global TV and entertainment empire – clearly forgetting he’s already got one.

X Factor without the irritable Cowell syndrome just won’t be the same.

Cowell is the man who made stars of Michelle McManus, Leon Jackson and Piers Morgan but never let that put him off searching for a new one.

He was name-checked earlier this year by Barack Obama, which shocked Cowell – the US President had been warned never to take his name in vain.

And vain is a word often used to describe Cowell who, while not married at 49, has had a 30-year love affair with himself. He’s the kind of man who will end up dying in his own arms.

But, unlike ITV, he does make compelling television and there’s no doubt X Factor will be poorer without him – though Cowell certainly won’t be.

The race is now on to replace Cowell, with Robbie Williams, the fat dancer from Take That, 8-1 favourite to fill his pointy shoes.

His ex-girlfriend Sinitta gets a 20-1 quote, with former Spice Girl Emma Bunton 18-1. Cowell put the sin in Sinitta but categorically denies having anything to do with Bunton.

The two men have been close friends for many years, and are regulars on the London party scene, but its the first time the pair have joined forces to create a new business venture. Sir Philip Green, the owner of UK retailers Top Shop and BHS has been advising Simon Cowell on a new contract to appear on American Idol.

The venture between the pair will effectively act as a holding company for all Simon Cowell’s entertainment interests, including Britains got Talent, Americas got Talent and The X Factor, but will also provide a springboard for new programming devised or produced by Mr Cowell, with Sir Philip Green providing the business advice.

For Sir Philip, the new company provides him with potentially lucrative merchandising opportunities, particularly in fashion, his traditional speciality. Its unclear how much capital Sir Philip will put into the venture, and he’s so far declined to comment on the venture.

Simon, who’s a judge on American Idol has been in talks with 19 Entertainment, which owns the rights to the show, and News Corp’s Fox Network about a new contract. His deal with the programme, the cornerstone of the Fox schedule, expires in May.

Simon has been offered a new contract for American Idol, which, if he accepts would make him the best paid star on TV, with a deal likely to surpass even Oprah Winfrey’s estimated earnings.

An insider which knows about the deal has said that Mr Cowell was keen to agree the new deal, with all his broadcasting and music partners. His long-term deal with record company, Sony Music also comes to an end next year. Sony Music is definitely keen to keep him on board due to the huge success of acts such as Leona Lewis, Paul Potts and il Divo.
